Change the display.
Preserve the driver’s understanding.
Camera-based side-view displays change where drivers look and how they interpret the view. The challenge was to understand how placement, information and vehicle integration affected a familiar driving task.
Use the driving context
to resolve the design questions.
I connected benchmarking, the installed test setup and user evaluation around the questions that mattered to the driver. Testing made display placement and information presentation concrete enough to examine together.
I translated the observations into driver profiles and interface proposals. This gave the design discussion a shared basis for assessing where the technology supported the task and where the experience needed refinement.
Display proposals informed
by evaluation.
The work produced research synthesis, driver profiles and display concepts linking information presentation with vehicle integration.
The gallery follows the evaluation through analysis and proposals, showing how the evidence shaped the direction.
Selected evidence
