- My contribution
- I contributed to product, interaction and interface development within my Bosch UX/HMI work.
- Key decisions
- Use full-scale models and scenarios to connect physical form, practical functions and everyday interaction questions.
- Delivery & outcome
- Sketches, physical prototypes and rendered product and interface concepts documenting the iXi home-robot exploration.

Connect the physical product
with everyday expectations.
The iXi home-security concept needed to patrol small homes, communicate useful information and connect with a smartphone and other devices. The challenge was to bring physical form, behavior and interaction into a coherent proposal for everyday use.
Make the questions
testable early.
I connected product and interaction questions through sketches, full-scale models and use scenarios. Examining dimensions and readability early gave the work a concrete basis for discussing how the robot would fit into the home.
I used that learning to guide the relationship between practical functions, status communication and personality. Keeping those questions together helped the concepts develop as one product experience.
A connected product
and interaction proposal.
The iXi exploration produced physical prototypes and product and interface concepts covering patrol, home status, phone-connected video, greetings and video calls.
The collection traces how the early questions about form and use developed into an integrated home-robot concept.
Selected evidence
